Our History
The Dutchess County School Safety Advisory Committee grew out of a Public Policy Conference on School Violence held in September, 1998, sponsored by the Department of Probation and the Children's Services Council (CSC). The CSC is a "county-wide conversation" about the needs of Dutchess County children, youth and families, brought together by the Dutchess County Executive. The Dutchess County School Safety Advisory Committee was created by the Dutchess County Executive to foster and enhance school safety.
